There were a few moans when West Ham United decided to bring David Moyes to the club. He was appointed to save them from the drop last season, and he managed to achieve that thanks to Michail Antonio’s post-lockdown heroics.
The Irons have continued their good form this season. They are in the top half of the table, and it will not be a surprise to see them climb even higher if they can sign a couple of quality players in January.
Antonio and Sebastien Haller have the striker spots nailed down. However, West Ham continue to be linked with new forwards every week. Adding firepower to your attack is never a bad idea, and it won’t be a big shock to see Moyes bring in another goal-scorer next month.
Three strikers West Ham could sign in January
Boulaye Dia
90min claimed earlier this month that West Ham are leading the race to sign Stade Reims’ Senegalese star Boulaye Dia. Premier League winner Sadio Mane is reportedly a huge fan of Dia and he is being eyed by plenty of clubs in England.
The 24-year-old has had a stunning start to the season, having scored nine goals in 13 starts in Ligue 1. He can play up front as well as on the right flank, and his addition would give Moyes a lot of options.

Gaetan Laborde
L’Equipe revealed earlier this month that West Ham have tabled a bid of £11 million to sign the Montpellier man in January. Laborde has five goals and five assists to his name in 16 games this term.
He has played across the front three and he, like Dia, would offer West Ham a lot of options in attack. Laborde’s agent has also fueled the rumours about a possible transfer in January (read here) and, if the Hammers really want him, they should be able to get him.

Abdallah Sima
Tomas Soucek has been a fine signing for West Ham. The Czech international has made his mark on the pitch, but he has played a key role behind the scenes as well. Moyes signed Vladimir Coufal on the midfielder’s recommendation, and he might well sign Sima for the same reason.
The Slavia Praha teenager has scored 13 goals already this season. Soucek revealed recently that people at West Ham know about Sima already. He claims he would love another player from his former club to join the Hammers, and the youngster dubbed ‘the new Thierry Henry‘ could well be an option next month.
