Three Tottenham Hotspur stars who have made a big difference at White Hart Lane this campaign.

Harry Kane

To start with: the obvious. For no Spurs star has proved more of a point this season than Harry Kane.

The 21-year-old could very easily have spent another spell out on loan at another club – perhaps even in the Championship once again. Boss Mauricio Pochettino, meanwhile, may not necessarily have put so much faith in Kane had the Tottenham striker simply not forced his way through with such perseverance.

It took Pochettino until November to regularly start Kane and, while many feel the Argentine was simply giving others a fair chance and not over-working a young forward, it was definitely a passive, risk-free approach. Had Kane been in the Tottenham side from day one, 19 Premier League goals could well have been 25 by now.

Regardless, though, the 21-year-old has made himself one of the in-form strikers of the top flight, adding further glory to an already glorious season by scoring on his England debut.

Danny Rose

Aside from Kane, however, Tottenham’s season has petered out considerably. The form stars of earlier this term – Ryan Mason, Nabil Bentaleb, Eric Dier, Jan Vertonghen and more – all look like they simply need a rest.

Every single Spurs player has had a game to forget at some point this campaign. Especially Danny Rose.

And yet, despite continually frustrating in a defensive capacity, Rose has made himself a huge presence in this Tottenham side and there is no arguing he is a significantly better player than at the start of the season.

It may just be that the 24-year-old has recently been the best of a bad bunch – and Rose can certainly improve hugely. But the facts speak for themselves. Rose is a Pochettino favourite. Perhaps a Roy Hodgson one soon, too.

Hugo Lloris

Inconsistency has plagued Spurs this term but, at the same time, everyone has had their moments. Christian Eriksen has proven a match-winner on numerous occasions, while Nacer Chadli and even Erik Lamela & Andros Townsend have made telling contributions.

Where would Tottenham be, though, without Hugo Lloris?

The Frenchman was a talisman before this campaign and, during the 2014-15 season, that reputation has only increased. With a shaky back four in front of him more often than not, Lloris has been key throughout. Even with Michel Vorm waiting in the wings, Tottenham would be nowhere near the same outfit without the 28-year-old.
