West Brom still need investment if they’re to better their 10th placed finish in the Premier League this season.
West Brom have had a quiet transfer window, especially given the madness around them in the Premier League. They have signed three players – Jay Rodriguez (from Southampton), Yuning Zhang (from Vitesse Arnhem), Ahmed Hegazi (on loan from Al Ahly).
Jay Rodriguez’s arrival already seems to be a shrewd move for the Baggies, but if they are to repeat their 10th place finish (or indeed better it), more investment in the transfer window will be integral.
Here we look at three positions where the Baggies need strengthening:

Left-back: With Allan Nyom, Tony Pulis truly graduated in the art of converting defenders from one position to another. But unfortunately for the former Stoke City manager, he seems to be the only option in the position and hence the need for reinforcements. Unless of course, he thinks that Chris Brunt – another converted player – is enough.
Possible options: Kieran Gibbs, Alberto Moreno

Central-Midfield: With the experience of Darren Fletcher leaving Hawthorns at the end of last season, it will be important for the Baggies to replace his industry in midfield. After all, the club arguably already needed reinforcements in that position before the Scot departed.
Possible options: Matty James, Joe Ledley
Jose Salomon Rondon of West Bromwich Albion and Ben Gibson of Middlesbrough compete for the ball
Centre-back: Besides Jonny Evans, the only two other players who featured significantly as a centre back for West Brom last season were Gareth McAuley (who is 37-years-old) and Jonas Olsson (who has since left the club). Tony Pulis has bought Ahmed Hegazi on loan but given his lack of Premier League experience, he will undoubtedly be looking to buy another centerback before the end of the transfer window.
Possible options: Ben Gibson, Chris Smalling and Steven Caulker
