Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tashan Oakley-Boothe has been linked with a move away from North London, with Championship duo Leeds United and Derby County keen on his services.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Tashan Oakley-Boothe has been attracting the interest of a number of Championship clubs, including Leeds United, Derby County and Stoke City, as reported by The Daily Mail.

The Spurs academy product will be looking to take that next big step in his career and the 19-year-old shouldn’t look any further than making a move to Leeds this summer.

Firstly, if he were to move to Leeds then he would join the most settled team that has been touted to sign the highly-rated teenager on-loan.

Marcelo Bielsa will be entering his second full season in charge of the Elland Road club, and after missing out on promotion last season, Leeds will be a more dangerous outfit than ever ahead of the new campaign. The stability within the team will help.

Secondly, he would arguably be working under the stewardship of the best manager in the second tier of English football in Marcelo Bielsa.

Youngster Jack Clarke, who recently penned a permanent contract at Tottenham before being loaned back to the Yorkshire club, is proof what Bielsa can do with a highly-rated talent. If Oakley-Boothe were to make the same move then he would arguably face a similar rise under the very demanding coach.

Thirdly, if the 6ft Tottenham midfielder wants to take his game to the next level from the mental side of things then he needs to understand pressure and how to deliver under it.

Outside of the Premier League, there isn’t a more pressured environment than Elland Road. Leeds are arguably the biggest club outside of the top-tier, and they will be pushing for those promotion places once again next term.

Whatever the outcome for Bielsa’s men next season, what a better platform for Oakley-Boothe to improve his game, not just from a technical standpoint, but from a mental standpoint.
