Francesco Guidolin was sacked as Swansea City boss on Monday afternoon and replaced by American coach Bob Bradley.
The Spaniard managed to keep the Swans out of trouble last season but poor form at the start of this term has cost him his job.
Despite the poor start, were Swansea too hasty in sacking their boss? Here are three reasons why the Swans have made a mistake.
Swansea were improving under Guidolin

It was a slow start to the season for the Swans but they have improved significantly across the last three games despite losing them all.
Guidolin was unfortunate enough to come under pressure at a time when his side faced Manchester City twice as well as Liverpool but almost every Swansea fan will agree that their team has put up a strong fight and a spirited performance in all three defeats.
You can understand the Swansea hierarchy’s concern and their desire to change things early-on but replacing a manager who has the team giving everything for him could be a monumental error

The Swans are only out of the bottom three by goal difference but they’re only four points from mid-table, that’s how tight it is and that’s how early in the season it its.
It has not been eye-catching football in South Wales and Swansea haven’t won enough games but there are some really winnable games coming up in the next few weeks and if they continued with the way they were improving under Guidolin, you would have tipped them to steer clear of the drop.
We’re not even a quarter of the way into the Premier League season and Swansea had a possible 93 points still up for grabs to steer them away from the bottom three.
When the transfer window slammed shut, every Premier League supporter knew Swansea didn’t have the strongest of team’s, with the takeover hindering transfer activity so essentially, Guidolin was on-target to meet Swansea’s realistic objective of staying up this season.
Bradley is no upgrade

Swansea have brought in former USA coach Bob Bradley to replace the outgoing boss but is he really an upward step from Francesco Guidolin?
Bradley has no real club success behind him and he has spent the last year with French second division outfit Le Havre where he hasn’t managed any success.
The 58-year-old has done little in his career to suggest he can handle being in-charge of a Premier League team and that’s concerning.
Bradley did well during his time as manager of USA but is that really enough to go on? Is he really going to do better than Guidolin?
