Could Tottenham Hotspur win the Premier League title this season?
Tottenham Hotspur are going strong in the Premier League at the moment and are among the top contenders for the league title.
The North London outfit are currently second in the league table with 17 points from seven matches, just a point behind leaders Manchester City.
Below are three reasons for Spurs fans to be positive this season:
1) Strong squad
Tottenham may not have too many world-class players or global household names, but they have quality players who are all hungry for success.
Hugo Lloris is a world-class goalkeeper and one of the best in Europe, while Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld are two of the best centre-backs in the Premier League.
Harry Kane, Victor Wanyama, Eric Dier, Dele Alli, Moussa Dembele, Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen are all brilliant footballers and demonstrate the depth of the Tottenham squad.
2) Shrewd signings
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino made some shrewd signings in the summer transfer window and added players to make his squad stronger.
Vincent Janssen was signed to support Kane in attack, while Wanyama and Moussa Sissoko are going to enhance the quality of the midfield.
What the signings have done is make the current Tottenham squad very competitive and will keep everyone wary of losing focus.
3) Son Heung-min
Son Heung-min has been superb so far this season and has been arguably the best player for Tottenham.
The South Korea international international, who can play as a winger or as a forward, has scored four goals and created 12 chances in four Premier League appearances for Spurs so far this campaign.
In two Champions League matches, the 24-year-old has scored one goal and created four chances for the North London outfit.
In the absence of the injured Kane, Son seems to have taken on the responsibility of scoring goals – and this can only be something positive for the team and for the fans.
