Who should Tottenham Hotspur be looking at in January?
Fernando Llorente is yet to really convince since joining Tottenham Hotspur, becoming the latest player to struggle as a stand in for Harry Kane.
This could leave Spurs to have another crack at solving the position in January, and there are some very different options they can take.
Here is a look at three potential options for January…
Moussa Dembele
Spurs came close to signing Moussa Dembele from Fulham in January 2016, and must regret not taking the plunge.
He has gone onto net more than 40 goals for Celtic since and would cost a lot more now than they could have bought him for two years ago.
The France under-21 international could still be worth the money, and by not moving, Spurs risk a rival Premier League team snapping him up.
Cedric Bakambu
Villarreal forward Cedric Bakambu’s impressive performances in La Liga this season have reportedly put him in Tottenham’s radar.
Sport.fr report Spurs are monitoring the striker, who has also this year been linked to West Ham and Everton.
Bakambu did sign a new contract earlier in 2017 though, making it a lot tougher for Spurs to tempt him away.
Dylan Asonganyi
Instead of aiming high for a proven first team player, Spurs could seek to add another star for the future.
One option is replicating their Dele Alli deal, by swooping for MK Dons forward Dylan Asonganyi.
The Guardian reported earlier this season Spurs were taking notice of the striker after a run which saw him net 20 times in 17 academy games.
Given the success of Alli and the low investment required, surely the question Spurs have to ask is, why not?
