Everton are expected to be extremely active during the summer transfer window.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman with Seamus Coleman
Toffees right-back Seamus Coleman suffered a horrific leg break in mid week, when representing the Republic of Ireland against Wales, and is expected to be out for anywhere between 7-12 months.
Ronald Koeman will surely look to bolster his options in the defensive department this summer, and with Coleman still considered to be an important part of the club’s future, the Dutchman will be best served in bringing in a highly experienced star, with more of an eye on the short-term.
Here are three possible targets for Everton who would fit the bill perfectly:
Stephan Lichtsteiner, Juventus:
The 33-year-old full-back is one of the best in the business.
His contract expires with the Turin club in the summer of 2018, so the transfer fee required to prise him away from Juve in the summer would surely not be too extortionate.

Glen Johnson, Stoke City:
The former West Ham and Liverpool man will be available on a free transfer this summer, and would provide fantastic cover for the injured Coleman.
With an abundance of experience, ability on the ball, and a great engine, the 32-year-old would be ideal for the way in which the Toffees play.

Mathieu Debuchy, Arsenal:
The Gunners right-back has hardly featured for Arsenal since his move to the Emirates in the summer of 2014, and a change of scenery is surely what he needs to reinvigorate his career.
Goodson Park could be the ideal place for the Frenchman to ply his trade, and he would be a useful asset for Koeman as he looks to navigate the next year or so without his first-choice right-back.
