While fans of Leeds United will be hoping that the lower leagues will be a thing of the past very soon, with Garry Monk’s side sitting in fourth position in the Championship, it’s worth noting that there are some gems to be discovered.

Monk has already shown willingness to delve into the lower leagues by signing Kemar Roofe from Oxford United in the summer, and here are three more players that could bolster the ranks at Elland Road.

Josh Morris

With Leeds seemingly in the market for a winger following reports they’re chasing Liverpool’s Ryan Kent, as reports The Sun, they could do a lot worse than move for Scunthorpe United’s Josh Morris. The 25-year-old left winger has 20 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions this season, with 19 of those coming in League One. Even if Scunthorpe get promoted to the Championship, the lure of Leeds would very likely prove too much for the former Blackburn Rovers man.

With Charlie Taylor’s situation very much up in the air until the season finishes, it’s looking likely that Leeds will need another left back in any circumstance – and could pip several Championship rivals by signing Fleetwood Town’s Amari’i Bell. According to the Daily Star, Norwich City, Brighton and Hove Albion and Aston Villa have been keeping tabs on the 22-year-old left back, who has scored three goals in 45 appearances this campaign. Seeing as Bell has his best years way ahead of him yet, this would be a very astute signing.

Ollie Watkins

Not so much a new name seeing as Leeds have been heavily linked with the Exeter City striker, as reports the Daily Star, but Watkins would be a prize signing for the Whites. Significantly different to what Leeds already have, Watkins has 14 goals in 42 appearances this season, with 13 of those coming in League Two. The 21-year-old seemingly has a big future ahead of him, and Whites fans will be hoping that he sees his most prolific goalscoring form come at Elland Road.
