Sunderland, Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion are all in desperate need of added firepower in forward areas.
Reports emanating from Italy yesterday claimed that Abel Hernandez is set to leave Hull City, with Aston Villa being named as potential suitors, according to Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.
There are three Premier League clubs though, who are far more in need of a striker than the the Championship outfit.
Let’s take a look a three potential destinations for the Uruguayan.
Sunderland:
The Black Cats have endured an abysmal start to their 2016/17 campaign, and currently sit rock bottom of the Premier League table, six points adrift of safety.
Their lack of goals makes winning games next to impossible for them, unless they keep a clean sheet.
They are overly reliant on Jermain Defoe, who has scored 66 per cent of their league goals so far this term, and desperately need to invest in a striker in January if they are to have any chance of staying in the division.

Middlesbrough:
Boro have really struggled over the past couple of months, and with only one league win since August, they currently sit in 15th position in the table – just one point clear from the relegation zone.
Their tally of just 10 goals in 11 outings exemplifies their current struggles, and the addition of someone like the 26-year-old Uruguayan international hitman could be just what they need to kick their season into gear.
West Brom:
Tony Pulis has always received criticism for his teams’ not scoring enough goals, and this year has been no different.
There are only six teams in the league who have scored less goals than the Baggies, and they will certainly need to start finding the net on a more regular basis if they are to stay in mid-table, or even push on further.
Hernandez would be a great addition to Pulis’ side.
With around six-weeks until the January transfer window opens, all three clubs mentioned should consider a move for Hernandez in a bid to either save, or improve their season.
