Andy Carroll has had a nightmare season at West Ham – could Newcastle, Stoke or Villa offer a fresh start?

Andy Carroll’s future at West Ham United is looking uncertain after another poor performance at Watford. The striker was hauled off after an hour with David Moyes fearing he’d get sent off.
He was sent off earlier in the season against Burnley and he also criticised West Ham supporters for leaving early against Liverpool, as quoted by the Independent.
Carroll is yet to score this season and after five injury ravaged years some fans have grown frustrated with his inability to stay fit and his comments after Liverpool.
It may be time for a change for the powerful striker, here are three clubs who could benefit from his services:

Newcastle United
The 28-year-old’s best years came at Newcastle United. He scored 33 goals during his time at St James’ Park and was sold in January 2011 to Liverpool. The Magpies are a bit thin up front with Joselu, Dwight Gayle and Aleksandar Mitrovic only scoring four times between them this term so a move back to his hometown could be a useful one.
A return to Newcastle United could be the perfect move for Carroll to revitalise his career.
Stoke City
Stoke City have been thankful to Peter Crouch a lot this season. He’s come off the bench to score some crucial goals but he’s now 36. Andy Carroll could be a younger, more powerful impact player for Mark Hughes to turn to. Stoke do have Eric Maxim Choupo Moting and Jese who can play up front, but Carroll is an out and out number nine and can add firepower to the Potters.
Aston Villa
Jonathan Kodjia has suffered another injury at Aston Villa but understudy Scott Hogan hasn’t scored a league goal this campaign. It could be tough to convince Carroll to drop down a division, but a loan may be an option for a player who has been successful in the Championship before. Carroll scored 17 goals to help Newcastle to promotion and he could be the ideal replacement for the Kodjia with Bruce already admitting he’s in the market for a striker. If Villa are in the automatic promotion positions come January, could the 28-year-old be tempted?
