Picking up 20 points from their first 11 league games, it’s fair to say that Bristol City have had an excellent start to this Championship campaign.

Despite losing their star striker, Jonathan Kodjia, to Aston Villa over the summer, City have continued to improve on the excellent work put into place by young manager, Lee Johnson. Here are three players who have really stood out for Bristol City so far this season.

Bobby Reid

A product of Bristol City’s youth academy, Bobby Reid has forced his way into the team under Lee Johnson. Though small in size, Reid is a surprisingly strong central-midfielder, with an excellent ability for moving the ball quickly around the field. Combined with his instinctive playmaking, Bobby Reid is also confident at taking on defenders, chipping in with the odd goal. At only 23 years old, Reid can only get better.

As an essential part of Bristol City’s double-winning side under Steve Cotterill, Pack is one of the Robins’ more experienced players. Throughout his time at Ashton Gate, Pack’s role has become more and more important to the side, as the hard-hitting defensive midfielder. His ability to cover the defence, win the ball back, and turn defence into attack, has been vital to Bristol City this season.

Without a doubt, Tammy Abraham was the easiest player to pick for this list. The on-loan Chelsea striker has been gaining plaudits from all over the country after his successive impressive displays for the Robins this season. After an impressive return of 11 goals in 14 appearances, Abraham is the inform striker in the division, and has certainly helped City fans get over the departure of Kodjia. As well as his goals, Abraham brings an excellent passing ability to the team. His ability to hold the ball up and spread it wide has transformed the speed in which City can go from defence to attack. Combined with Bobby Reid and Marlon Pack, Bristol City now have an excellent spine to their team and, under the guidance of the hungry Lee Johnson, there’s no reason why they can’t pull off something big this year.
