It has been 26 years since Liverpool last won the League. Although the jury seems to be in Jurgen Klopp’s corner at the moment, things can quickly change if Liverpool’s progress is not evident in the League.
For Klopp to ultimately win the League at Anfield, a lot will eventually depend on the players he has at his disposal given there at 6 clubs challenging for the title. To have that quality in his squad, the former Dortmund manager will undoubtedly have to make some hard decisions on the way.

One of many reasons why Liverpool finished in the top four last season was the form of Simon Mignolet towards the tail end of the season. In his 28 starts for the Reds in the League, he kept 9 clean sheets.
His biggest improvement was errors leading to goals; there was just the one last season compared to 4 in 2015/16.
But, despite all that, if the errors come creeping back, old and unpleasant memories will come flooding back for the Liverpool fans. Given, Loris Karius and Danny Ward are behind him in the pecking order; things can change very quickly for the Belgian international.

There is no denying the potential the Serbian has, he is physical and seems to have excellent technique. But, at the age of 21, he perhaps needs more time on the pitch than he is getting for the Reds. His contribution in the League last season read 5 appearances, 33 passes and 1 yellow card.
With Liverpool looking to add to their already existing midfield options (Naby Keita as reportedly by Mirror) it might be the right time to leave the club for the young midfielder if he doesn’t get his desired game time this season.

The question on every fan’s mind before last season was can Daniel Sturridge remain fit? However, it quickly became apparent that Klopp prefers the hassling and harrying of Firminho as a striker than the economic approach of the England international. He scored just 3 goals in 20 appearances in the League last season.
Jurgen Klopp has elected to strengthen other positions, and this could represent the last opportunity for Sturridge in the famous colours of Liverpool. The clock is ticking and ticking fast for the former Chelsea striker.
