The former Newcastle United and Derby County manager has reportedly agreed terms to replace Ian Holloway at Queens Park Rangers.

Steve McClaren, the former Newcastle United and Derby County manager, has agreed terms to replace Ian Holloway at Queens Park Rangers, according to the Daily Mail.
After spells in England, Germany and Holland, the 57-year-old is not short of contacts. But who could he look to bring to Loftus Road? Here are three potential targets…
Rolando Aarons (Newcastle United)

QPR are releasing winger Jamie Mackie this summer, and could also lose left-back Jack Robinson at the end of his contract. Aarons, whom McClaren managed during his ill-fated spell at Newcastle, can play in either position and looks to be out of favour on Tyneside, having spent the past three months on loan to Hellas Verona.
Craig Bryson (Derby County)

While QPR are in no urgent need to strengthen in central midfield, that could change if certain clubs decide to act on their alleged interest in Massimo Luongo. Were the Australian to leave then Bryson, who scored or made 38 goals in 101 games under McClaren at Derby, would be a logical replacement. The 31-year-old helped loan club Cardiff to promotion this season, although whether his services will be required in the Premier League remains to be seen.
Chris Martin (Derby County)

Another of McClaren’s Derby favourites currently out of favour at Pride Park, Martin could be one of the first players sought by the former England manager at Loftus Road. The Scotland international would not be short of company in Rangers’ attack, although either of Conor Washington or Idrissa Sylla could make way this summer.
