Sam Allardyce could be looking to raid his former clubs while bolstering his Crystal Palace squad in the summer.
Sunderland’s Jordan Pickford
Jordan Pickford (Sunderland)
The 23-year-old Sunderland goalkeeper will be in top demand in the summer if the Black Cats get relegated this season. He is too good a player to play in the Championships.
Wayne Hennessey is a reliable keeper, but Pickford will definitely be an upgrade on him. However, Palace are likely to face competition from other top clubs.
According to reports from The Sun, Everton are interested in signing him, and are even ready to pay £15 million to solve their goalkeeping problem.
Newcastle United’s Ayoze Perez looks dejected
Ayoze Perez (Newcastle United)
Perez is a fine footballer but he still remains a Newcastle United conundrum.
There is no doubt about his sublime technical expertise and his ability to conjure up moments of sheer magic, but inconsistency remains the only demon that prevents him from reaching the top level.
He can be largely frustrating at times. One week he can be one of the best in the league, the next anonymous.
Having said that, he is such a fine player to watch that he is a gamble worth taking. If Wilfried Zaha leaves the club in the summer, Palace should make a move for him.
Winston Reid (West Ham United)
Palace need a solid centre-back, and Allardyce could look to West Ham to solve his defence.
Reid, the 28-year-old defender, has been brilliant for the Hammers this season. Rock solid in defence, he has scored two goals and provided two assists in the Premier League this season.
The New Zealand defender has a contract at the club till 2021, according to transfermarkt.com, but could be tempted to play under his former manager.
