Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips is reportedly attracting interest from recently promoted Aston Villa.

Aston Villa have Leeds United midfielder, Kalvin Phillips on their radar after they won promotion to the Premier League, according to the Daily Mail.
If Leeds end up losing one of their prized assets this summer then they should look to sign either Everton’s Tom Davies or Muhamed Besic or Chelsea’s Reece James, if they can get a potential deal over the line.
Everton’s Tom Davies: Aston Villa used the loan market exceptionally well and it helped them earn promotion. Leeds should do the same and a player like Davies would do wonders in their midfield. He has more of an attacking mindset than Phillips, but he can be that player that sits deep in their midfield.
Everton’s Muhamed Besic: This is perhaps a more realistic option for Leeds and a player that has been playing in the Championship in recent seasons. He is more defensive-minded and during the past two seasons, he has been on loan at Middlesbrough under the tutelage of Tony Pulis, who has since been sacked.
Chelsea’s Reece James: A versatile player, who made the PFA’s Team of the Season after helping Wigan maintain their status in England’s second tier. From playing at right-back, centre-back to playing in front of the defence. James stood out above many when he was playing on a weekly basis in the Championship. Under a manager like Marcelo Bielsa, James would thrive and would no doubt be a game-changing purchase for Leeds if they can get him through the door this summer.

From the above players, the most realistic potential purchases would be either Besic or James and if the Elland Road faithful had to pick, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them pick James.
But first and foremost before anything else happens, Leeds and Bielsa will want to keep Phillips at the club because he was arguably their best player during the recently concluded campaign.
