Leeds United have a fairly thin squad but there are still a handful of players they should consider moving on.

Regardless of what league Leeds are in next season, there are a few players on their books who would perhaps benefit from a permanent move away as much as the Whites would by letting them go.

With that in mind, here are three players that Leeds should consider moving on this summer…

Toumani Diagouraga

Toumani Diagouraga has not played for Leeds since the opening day of the season and has spent the last few months on loan at Ipswich Town. He is a solid Championship player, but it is clear that Garry Monk is not a fan and therefore, it makes sense for the Whites to sell him permanently in the summer. You would imagine a number of teams in the second tier would be interested.

Marco Silvestri

With Rob Green agreeing a new deal at Elland Road, and with Bailey Peacock-Farrell continuing his development, it is difficult to see Marco Silvestri getting many chances next season, perhaps even fewer than he has enjoyed this year. On his best day, there can be few better in the Championship, but unfortunately, the same mistakes occur fairly regularly. A fresh start where the Italian can enjoy regular football may be the ideal move for both Leeds and the player.

Giuseppe Bellusci

While Diagouraga’s and Silvestri’s departures may not provoke that strong a reaction amongst the fans, the idea of Giuseppe Bellusci departing permanently would surely be met with a tremendous amount of approval amongst the supporters. The mistake-prone defender is out on loan, and with Pontus Jansson and Kyle Bartley performing so well at centre-back currently, he has not been missed. Bringing a permanent end to his time with the club may be a smart idea.
