Graham Smyth has responded to a Leeds United fan on Twitter when asked if the club are looking to make signings. Smyth says the Whites are ‘active’ and ‘progressing’, so who could they sign over the next three weeks?

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have been struck with an injury crisis of late. Liam Cooper, Kalvin Phillips, Rodrigo, Tyler Roberts, Joe Gelhardt, Charlie Cresswell, Jamie Shackleton, Junior Firpo and Pascal Struijk all injured.

Diego Llorente is suspended for Sunday’s clash against West Ham, and Patrick Bamford was sidelined last time out. So, Leeds could do with a couple of new additions – and here are three potential signings:

Ola Aina – Torino

The Nigeria international is being linked with a move to Leeds – and little surprise. Having impressed on loan at Fulham last term on loan, he can play as a full-back or a winger on either flank.

TMW reported late last week that Leeds are considering a move for the ex-Chelsea man. But he is currently with Nigeria at African Cup of Nations. His arrival would solve plenty of positions in need of cover.

Boubacar Kamara – Marseille

Like Aina, Marseille star Kamara has also been linked with Leeds. The Mail reported earlier this month that Leeds had added the Frenchman to their shortlist. Phil Hay says the club have looked at the midfielder.

Kamara is out of contract at the end of the season. He has numerous clubs after his signature, but Leeds could really do with cover for Kalvin Phillips and at centre-back. Whether he stays until the summer, remains to be seen.

Divock Origi – Liverpool

A player that has not been linked with Leeds, but has been strongly touted around other Premier League clubs – is Origi. The Liverpool ace is out of contract at the end of the season, and Leeds seriously need a striker.

Gelhardt, Roberts and Rodrigo are out and while Bamford is close to a return, Leeds could do with another body in that area. The Telegraph report that Liverpool want just £7million for their Belgium international.
