Leeds United may be looking to offload some recent signings this summer.

Leeds United's German goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald looks to release the ball during the English League Cup fourth round football match between Leicester City and Leeds United at King Power...

Leeds United endured a disappointing season despite making a superb opening to the campaign, as the blistering start under Thomas Christiansen couldn’t be sustained, with the Whites finishing in the bottom half of the Championship table yet again.

The Whites now face another major summer as Paul Heckingbottom will want major backing to boost his squad, but some players may have to leave – and here are three players primed for the chopping block, all of whom happen to be signings from under-fire director of football Victor Orta…

Felix Wiedwald

A signing from Werder Bremen in his native Germany last summer, Wiedwald was signed to succeed Robert Green in goal, but he has been anything but a replacement for the former England international. Wiedwald has been shaky and error-prone throughout his time in West Yorkshire, and one of Leeds’ top priorities this summer must be to offload the 28-year-old this summer.

Laurens De Bock

Another famously poor signing from Victor Orta, left back De Bock joined the Whites from Club Brugge in January, and whilst he enjoyed a decent start to life with Leeds, his torrid display against Derby County summed up his deficiencies. Tom Pearce quickly replaced him in the first team and with links to other left backs emerging, the Belgian’s days may already be numbered.

Pawel Cibicki

Swedish attacker Cibicki arrived from Malmo last summer having shown promise in his homeland, but he has barely featured for the Whites. With just 10 appearances, no goals and two assists, Cibicki has made little to no impact with Leeds, and recent links to Legia Warsaw in Poland may just suggest that he will be leaving Elland Road just a year after his arrival.
