As reported by the Evening Standard, West Ham United boss David Moyes would like to sign three or four players before the deadline on October 5.
The Hammers are yet to sign a single new player since the transfer window opened. Their only business as of yet has been turning Tomas Soucek’s loan move into a permanent deal costing £19.1 million.
While the ex-Manchester United man has made his intentions crystal clear, he has one doubt as to why he may not get the hoped for new faces.
The Evening Standard quote Moyes as saying: ‘I just don’t want centre-halves. I want other positions as well.
‘Ultimately I would like to sign three or four players, but I totally understand we are not in a financial position to do so.’

The Irons may not have funds for a multitude of players, but they definitely seem prepared to spend big on one of their targets – James Tarkowski.
The Burnley centre-back has been the subject of three bids from West Ham; the latest offer worth £31 million according to Sky Sports. It has, however, been rejected.
In addition to targeting a new centre-back, Moyes could also do with some new full-backs, in truth.

After Jeremy Ngakia’s departure, Ryan Fredericks is the only senior right-back at the club. The left-back position is also pretty weak, with Aaron Cresswell and Arthur Masuaku regularly sharing the shirt.
It was a dilemma that Manuel Pellegrini often found himself stuck with. Football London reported about the predicament last year.
With exactly two weeks until the transfer deadline, West Ham must jump into action, especially after losing their first two Premier League games.
