Tottenham could look to strengthen in midfield next month.
An injury to Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele’s fitness struggles have shown that Tottenham’s midfield has been stretched more than they would have liked this season.
As a result they have been linked with strengthening in January.
Here is a look at three potential options for the transfer window…
Geoffrey Kondogbia

After a difficult 2016/17 at Inter Milan, Geoffrey Kondogbia has hit form on loan at Valencia.
SkySports reported Spurs have been scouting him on loan at Valencia with a view to a move.
Getting him to switch mid-season will depend on the terms of the agreement between Valencia and Inter, but a sizeable offer could tempt the Italians to send him to North London.
Ross Barkley

This one is the obvious one, and most likely of any Tottenham transfer.
Barkley has been persistently linked with leaving Everton for Tottenham [via Telegraph] and has just six months remaining on his contract.
The midfielder has not played this season due to injury and will have to prove his fitness first.
Dani Ceballos

Real Madrid ace Dani Ceballos was recently linked with a surprise switch to Spurs.
Calcio Mercato report Spurs are lining up a move for the Spaniard after he failed to establish himself as a regular at the Bernabeu.
Ceballos was touted in Spain as a potential successor to Luka Modric, and it would be a major coup if Spurs could lure him away.
