The Wolverhampton Wanderers manager’s future is in doubt, according to recent reports.

After a fairly disappointing season, finish 15th in the table, Wolverhampton Wanderers will be glad to have seen their campaign come to an end.
After hiring Italian Walter Zenga in the summer, many Wolves fans were wondering whether the club might be pushing for promotion this season.
However, things went wrong quickly under Zenga, and the club ended up turning to former Blackburn Rovers manager Paul Lambert to steady the ship.
And though Lambert has done a reasonable job, his time at Molineux looks to have been plunged into doubt, according to a recent report in The Guardian.
With concerns arising over the role Lambert will play in Wolves’ transfer dealings, the club could well find themselves managerless soon. So who could the club turn to? HITC Sport have put together a list of three potential managers who could do a job at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Alan Pardew
The former Crystal Palace has been out of work since leaving Selhurst Park in December, and despite being linked with a number of Premier League and Championship jobs, Alan Pardew is still available. Likely keen to start a new project to rescue back some of his reputation, a big club like Wolverhampton Wanderers may appeal to the former Newcastle United boss, though the manager would likely want a big mandate to be able to spend on this under-performing Wolves squad.
Nigel Pearson
The former Derby County boss had a fairly awful time at Pride Park, dperating the club after just nine games in charge. However, his stock is still considered to be fairly high, after the excellent job he did at Leicester City. Many believe that much of Leicester’s success over the last few years has been down by the hard work and foundations put in place by Pearson, and that at a Championship club that give him time, he could still prove to be a top manager.
Aitor Karanka
The former Middlesbrough manager lost his job in March, and has been tipped to make a return to the Championship over the summer. Karanka took a few years to build a promotion-worthy side at the Riverside Stadium, and has often been criticised for his rigidity and reluctance to change his side’s playing style. However, as a student of Jose Mourinho, Aitor Karanka has proven to be excellent at building teams which are difficult to beat in the Championship and, if given time, could prove to be a hit amongst Wolves supporters.
