The former Everton and Manchester United boss has brought several of his old players to Sunderland already.

Reports this week claim David Moyes will say on as Sunderland boss even if the Mackems are relegated this season, as is expected to be the case.

With an exodus of ‘talent’ expected at the Stadium of Light, a busy summer of business lies in wait for the Scot.

Moyes has tended to stick to what he knows so far, raiding, predominantly, his former clubs Everton and Manchester United for talent.

Axel Tuanzebe [Manchester United]

The teenage centre-back is highly rated at Old Trafford, where he signed a new three-year contract earlier this year. With Jason Denayer’s loan spell expiring this summer and Lamine Kone likely to be sold, Sunderland will need reinforcements in Tuanzebe’s position.

Brendan Galloway [Everton]

Galloway’s loan to West Brom hasn’t gone to plan, with Everton reportedly trying to terminate his deal early in January before sending him to Derby County. Another temporary spell beckons for the versatile defender, who would bolster the Black Cats at both left- and centre-back.

Shani Tarashaj [Everton]

Another of Everton’s disappointed loanees, Tarashaj has started just twice for Frankfurt this season, scoring once, leaving the 22-year-old no closer to the Toffees’ first team than he was initially. Moyes could make better use of the versatile forward at Sunderland, with Jermain Defoe almost certain to leave.
