Liverpool picked up a huge victory on Wednesday night as they beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at Anfield with a dramatic winner.
The Reds took the lead through Mohamed Salah’s deflected first-half strike, but Son Heung-min drew Spurs level on the break.
Tottenham had chances to win it, but were made to pay for their profligacy when Roberto Firmino headed home a late winner for the Reds.
Liverpool move to the top of the Premier League table with that win, and much of the attention has now been placed on post-match comments by Spurs boss Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho confronted Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp at the full-time whistle, and told him that ‘the best team lost’, which Klopp appeared to laugh at.
After the game, Liverpool right back Trent Alexander-Arnold took to Instagram to mock Mourinho, simply captioning his photo of Liverpool celebrating with ‘best team won’.

Defender Rhys Williams added ‘louder for those at the back’, with Curtis Jones replying with a speaking emoji, as the Liverpool players made their voices heard against Mourinho.
Mourinho no doubt loves it being this way, trying to get under the skin of his rivals, but Liverpool had the last laugh this time.
