Glasgow Rangers striker Martyn Waghorn has been linked with the Ibrox exit, and Leeds are one of the clubs interested.

Following the report from the Daily Mail that suggested that Rangers striker Martyn Waghorn is being targeted by a number of English clubs, including Leeds United, here is a look at three Whites players that the Gers could perhaps consider targeting as part of any potential deal…

Toumani Diagouraga

Toumani Diagouraga was a Rangers target when Mark Warburton was in charge (via Get West London), and it appears that his time at Elland Road is coming to an end, having not played for the club since the opening day, and having since joined Ipswich Town on loan. He could be a decent leader in the Rangers midfield, and given how Garry Monk does not seem too keen to keep hold of him judging by what has happened this term, he may not cost the Gers too much at all.

Lee Erwin

Lee Erwin may be a name that Rangers fans remember from the clash with Bilel Mohsni when he was at Motherwell. He has endured a difficult time since moving to Leeds, so perhaps a move back to Scotland may appeal to the striker. If Waghorn left, his arrival may help fill the void – though he would have to do a lot to prove a worthy replacement.

Jordan Botaka

On his day, Jordan Botaka can be an exciting winger with plenty of skill that can cause full-backs a host of problems. He has also struggled since moving to Leeds, but playing in a side that should dominant most domestic games may help bring the best out of him. He could turn out to be a frustrating addition, but if he finds form and consistency, he could be a great signing. Perhaps, wanting to prove a point to Leeds, where he has never really been given a prolonged chance, could motivate him to make an Ibrox switch a success.
