Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is not getting enough out of his bench.
Tottenham Hotspur learned the hard way the impact that a substitute can have with Anthony Martial’s winning goal for Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.
It was the Frenchman’s fourth goal off the bench this season – only one fewer than Tottenham’s entire squad have managed since the beginning of the 2016-17 campaign.

Wilfried Zaha
The Ivorian international winger is currently trying to single-handedly save Crystal Palace from relegation but he must have ambitions to play at a higher level.
As Sky Sports report, Spurs tried to sign Zaha in 2016 and he has since taken his game to new heights with 10 goals and as many assists in his last 39 league appearances.
He would not be consigned to the bench at Tottenham, more likely competing for a first-team place, but would be a great option for Pochettino to turn to when he doesn’t start.
Josh King
According to The Telegraph, Spurs were looking at the Bournemouth striker as a potential deputy for Harry Kane in the summer before opting instead for Fernando Llorente.
The Norwegian had a great season for the Cherries last term, scoring 16 league goals, and his pace and direct running is a weapon that Pochettino does not always have at his disposal.
Mark Uth
Tottenham’s depth of squad has improved over the last 18 months but they don’t win games off the bench. Only Son Heung-min has scored a winning goal as a substitute since December 2015.
Hoffenheim forward Uth is a good enough player to improve Tottenham’s striking depth, and also happens to be a bit of a specialist in this regard.
Five of the 26-year-old’s last 15 goals have come when he has not started the match. He could be thrown on alongside Kane if Spurs need to strike.
