Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers should look at Tottenham Hotspur’s Michel Vorm, Newcastle United’s Freddie Woodman and Everton’s Joel Robles in the January transfer window.

With Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers suggesting to The Daily Record that he could sign a goalkeeper in the January transfer window following the injury suffered by first-choice custodian and key player Craig Gordon against Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday, here are three candidates for him to consider.
Michel Vorm (Tottenham Hotspur)
Rodgers worked with Michel Vorm at Swansea City, and with the contract of the Netherlands international goalkeeper at Tottenham Hotspur running out at the end of the season, it would not be a bad idea for Celtic to make a move.
True, the Dutchman is 34 years of age, but there is no doubt that Vorm is a quality goalkeeper.
The former Utrecht custodian is hugely experienced, and Celtic would get a footballer who can play at the very top level for at least three more years.

Freddie Woodman (Newcastle United)
Freddie Woodman is only 20 years of age, but the Newcastle United goalkeeper is very talented and promising.
The England Under-21 international has already played in Scotland with Kilmarnock, and the youngster would not be a bad short-term signing for Celtic.
Signing Woodman on loan from Premier League club Newcastle until the end of the season would be good for all three parties.

Joel Robles (Everton)
Joel Robles is struggling for playing time at Everton at the moment, and the goalkeeper has failed to make an impact at Goodison Park since his move back in 2013.
The 27-year-old is at the right age to take on a new challenge, and Celtic would get a long-term successor to Gordon if they are able to secure the services of the Spaniard in the January transfer widow.
