With The Sun suggesting that Wigan Athletic are interested in appointing Glasgow Rangers boss Mark Warburton, we take a look at three players who could follow him from Ibrox to the Latics, if he does take the job.

Wes Foderingham

Wigan may need to buy a goalkeeper in January, as their current number one, Adam Bogdan, is only on loan.

Foderingham could solve their problem, as he has been a reliable presence in goal for Rangers.

Foderingham’s shot stopping has impressed over the past two seasons at Rangers, and it would not be a surprise of Warburton wanted to team up with the 25-year-old again.

James Tavernier

Things did not work out for Tavernier when he played for Wigan earlier in his career, but he looks to be an improved player now.

The right-back left Wigan to join Rangers, but it would not be a major surprise if Warburton wanted to bring him back to the DW Stadium.

Tavernier has been an excellent signing for Rangers, and he has impressed both in an attacking and a defensive sense.

Josh Windass

Accrington Stanley's Josh Windass

Windass looks to have been a real find for Rangers, who plucked him from Accrington Stanley last summer.

The youngster has settled in well at Ibrox, and he seems to be developing into a fine prospect.

Warburton may feel that he could continue to develop Windass, meaning the midfielder would be an obvious transfer target, if the 54-year-old manager did leave Rangers.
