Celtic and Dundee go head-to-head just days before the Bhoys play their huge Champions League clash.

Celtic’s impressive 3-0 victory against Anderlecht last month gave the Bhoys a slim chance of qualifying from the toughest of Champions League groups, but the upcoming double-header against a troubled Bayern Munich side will determine if the possible can become probable.

Before the Bhoys take on the German giants they must face Dundee in the Scottish Premiership, and Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is likely to make a few changes for that fixture to ensure he can play his strongest possible XI the following Wednesday.

Here we take a look at three Celtic fringe players that should be given a chance on Saturday:

Scott Brown of Celtic and Jonny Hayes of Celtic warm up during a Celtic training session ahead of the UEFA Champions League Group B match against Paris Saint-Germain at Lennoxtown on...

Jonny Hayes

With practically no chance of starting against Bayern, summer signing Jonny Hayes should get another run out for Celtic this weekend.

The 30-year-old has started two of Celtic’s last three league games but he is unlikely to be called upon for the biggest matches and should get used to being utilised as cover to keep other options fresh for the challenges ahead.

Odsonne Edouard

It remains to be seen if Moussa Dembele will start against Bayern or begin the game on the bench with Leigh Griffiths the sole forward, but whatever happens, both Celtic strikers will be vital against the wounded Bundesliga club.

For that reason, loanee Odsonne Edouard may be a good bet to kick off the clash having already scored one goal and set up three more in five appearances to date.

Celtic's English midfielder Patrick Roberts (L) and Celtic's Norwegian midfielder Kristoffer Ajer run during training at their Lennoxtown facility, north of Glasgow, on September 11, 2017...

Kristoffer Ajer

Still only 19, Kristoffer Ajer will seize every chance that comes his way, and if Rodgers wants to keep his back line rested he may put his trust in a player who has been used sparingly to date.

Celtic will not want to take Dundee too lightly but they will know that an historic win against Bayern will see them with one unlikely leg in the knockout stages, assuming they can make it two wins from two against Anderlecht later in the campaign.
