With many players set to become free-agents in the summer, Newcastle United would be daft not to be monitoring this market, looking out for Premier League quality players at a fraction of the price.

1. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar

The Dutch forward has struggled for game-time at German side Schalke 04 this season, and is set to depart the club in the summer. After scoring 125 goals during his time at the German club, and over 300 goals in his career, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is one of the most lethal strikers out there, and could provide Newcastle United with an excellent option, should they get promoted.
2. Keisuke Honda

The 30-year-old Japanese international is set to depart AC Milan this summer, and could look for a move to the Premier League. After three years in Milan, Honda has failed to live up to the hype which surrounded him during his time at CSKA Moscow, but could still offer Newcastle United a decent amount of attacking flair and goal-scoring threat. Considering they could potentially get him on a free, would Keisuke Honda be worth a punt?
3. Alan Judge

After Sky Sports reported potential interest in Brentford’s Alan Judge in January, it’s fair to say that the attacking midfielder is likely to be already on Newcastle United’s radar. Able to score goals from the tightest of situations, Alan Judge has been worthy of a chance at the Premier League for a while now. But, unfortunately, his time hasn’t yet come due to a serious injury he picked up last year. Still regarded as one of the top talents in the Championship, might Rafa Benitez take a risk and give Alan Judge his chance at Premier League football?
