Should Tottenham make a post deadline day striker move?

Tottenham Hotspur once again passed on signing a striker in the January transfer window, but as they showed once before, moving for a free agent should not be ruled out.

In 2012 Spurs struck a deal to sign Louis Saha after the window had closed, and while there are relatively slim pickings, there are three names they might want to consider.

Tottenham have only Vincent Janssen, with no goals from open play this season, as back up to Harry Kane, and look light in the position with young prospect Shayon Harrison sent out on loan.

Remember Brazilian forward Luis Fabiano? The former international is 36 and a free agent after his contract with Chinese side Tianjian Quanjan was terminated, Marca report.

The ex-Sevilla ace scored 22 goals for Tianjian last season showing he still has a sharp eye for goal, following a four-and-a-half year stint in Brazil in which he netted 92 goals.

Tottenham were once linked with signing Fabiano by The Telegraph back in 2010, and while it would be a surprise if they snapped him up now, a deal could be inspired.
