Alan Pardew has reportedly held talks with West Bromwich Albion about succeeding Tony Pulis.

With Pardew seemingly emerging as a potential front-runner for the post, West Brom fans may be starting to think about potential targets the club could consider in future windows.
With that in mind, here are three players who have worked under Pardew who should be on West Brom’s radar if they appoint the former Crystal Palace and Newcastle boss…

Karl Darlow
According to a recent report from The Sun, West Brom want Sam Johnstone as they look for Ben Foster’s long-term successor, and a move for the Aston Villa loanee will see the Villans target Karl Darlow, who Newcastle are prepared to listen to offers for. Pardew signed Darlow during his time as Magpies boss, so perhaps the Baggies should forget the interest in Johnstone and just go straight after the Newcastle man who clearly boasts plenty of potential.

Yohan Cabaye
Yohan Cabaye has signed for Alan Pardew twice before, so it perhaps would not be the greatest surprise if West Brom attempt a move for the Frenchman if Pardew is appointed at The Hawthorns. The Baggies’ midfield has been a disappointment this term, so perhaps targeting the classy Frenchman would be a wise idea, especially if Crystal Palace go down this term.
Christian Benteke
Speaking of players West Brom should target if Palace go down, Christian Benteke should perhaps be the marquee target for the Baggies if Pardew is appointed. He was signed by Pardew and could perhaps be the answer to West Brom’s goalscoring woes – though the fees he has gone for during his career surely hints that the Eagles may have to go down for Benteke to be available within West Brom’s budget.
