The transfer window has come and gone, we round-up some of the players who should’ve left their current clubs.
Cheick Tiote – Newcastle United
Was a hit as soon as he planted his feet on the St. James’ turf when he signed in 2010. Tiote’s early years in the North-East were very good with him becoming a mainstay in the Newcastle side where he won many plaudits for being one of the best central midfielders in the league.
A hard and combative midfielder, the Ivorian was the man who scored that memorable strike back in 2011 against Arsenal where he helped his side come from 4-0 down to draw 4-4. The 30-year-old has no doubt lost some of the energy which he was so renowned for and that allowed him to win the ball back and start attacks and that could be why he hasn’t been able to sustain his position in the side.
However, the past two seasons have seen the midfielder only play 31 times and he has failed to feature in any of Benitez’s games as manager this term.

Fraizer Campbell – Crystal Palace
Campbell’s inability to stamp his place in a side wherever he’s been has been an ongoing issue.
His best season in recent times has been seven goals in the 2012/13 season with Cardiff City where the forward scored seven goals in 12 games in the Championship.
Palace manager Alan Pardew has been reluctant to play Campbell who’s featured 31 times in two season at Selhurst Park with only 17 starts.
Pardew was on the lookout for a striker, with their lack of firepower becoming a real issue as they slumped down the table last term, and they also haven’t recorded a win in their opening three games so far this campaign. With Christian Benteke coming through the door, his chances will certainly be limited.

Mathieu Debuchy – Arsenal
Life at Arsenal seemed to go to plan for Mathieu Debuchy, but an ankle ligament injury was the start of a torrid spell on the sidelines for the Frenchman as his place in the side became under scrutiny.
Last summer saw the former Lille man become frustarted with the lack of regular first team football and he pleaded with the club to allow him to go out on loan to Bordeaux (which he did) in a bid to make the France squad for the Euros. The loan spell saw the right back start all nine of his games.
However the spell in his home country has failed to persuade Arsene Wenger to give the full back a chance, with Hector Bellerin the preferred choice, meaning he has not featured once this season.
With Carl Jenkinson nearing full fitness once more it seems as though compeitition will be even harder and his future at the Emirates could be under scrutiny once more.
