The Toffees U23s are top of the table with 15 points from 18 this season.
When it comes to giving young players their chance in the first team, there is no denying that Everton are up there with the best.
Wayne Rooney was one of the first to make it big in recent years, while most recently John Stones and Ross Barkley have enjoyed success.
This season defender Mason Holgate has made the step up into the first-team set-up, putting in a series of impressive performances under Ronald Koeman.
With the Blues’ Under-23 team currently shining in the revamped youth leagues, leading their division with 15 points from a possible 18, it seems there are several more youngsters ready to make the jump.
So here are three Everton youngsters Koeman should consider giving a chance to in the coming months.
Jonjoe Kenny
Aside from Seamus Coleman, the Blues are weak at right-back after letting Tony Hibbert go in the summer.
Kenny has featured in all but one of the Under-23 team’s games so far, in a defence that has conceded just two goals, and would provide adequate cover for the Republic of Ireland star.
Harry Charsley
The central midfielder has been in fine form so far this season, scoring three goals and bagging two assists in six games.
With the likes of Tom Cleverley struggling to win over the Everton fans as back-up, now could be the time to give the 19-year-old his chance.
Calum Dyson
The young striker currently has three goals in five games for the Under-23’s this season and is their joint-top goalscorer alongside midfielder Charsley.
Given the Blues’ lack of strength up front behind Romelu Lukaku, perhaps it is time to look to the youth set-up to find a solution. It certainly worked well for Manchester United.
