Ronald Koeman’s sacking by Everton could be the fresh start that these three players need.

Ronald Koeman paid the price for Everton’s poor start to the season yesterday as he was sacked with the Toffees in the Premier League relegation zone.
The Dutchman spent £150 in the summer – a figure report by The Sun – but could not put the pieces of his jigsaw together.
Here are three of those pieces who may be a better fit under the new manager…

Kevin Mirallas
Despite his team blatantly lacking width, pace and goals, Koeman refused to start Mirallas in a single league game this term.
The Belgian can be inconsistent, but this Everton side is short of inspiration and Mirallas, who has 38 goals in 181 games for the Toffees, could offer them that if given the opportunity.
Oumar Niasse
Koeman never rated the Roberto Martinez signing. Upon arriving at Goodison Park, he chose not to give Niasse a squad number and banished him out on loan to Hull City.

It was only his own failure to sign a replacement for Romelu Lukaku which forced Koeman to bring Niasse back into the fold and now he may finally get a fair crack.
Gylfi Sigurdsson
Sigurdsson was Everton’s marquee summer signing when he arrived from Swansea City for £45m, according to BBC Sport.
But Koeman often played him out of position and a new manager should be able to get the best out of Sigurdsson in a No.10 role.
