Sunderland are expected to be active until the final day.

Sunderland are still on the search for a new striker as we approach the final day of the January transfer window, with the Black Cats looking to add fire power in their promotion hunt.
Top scorer Josh Maja has left the Stadium of Light to join French club Bordeaux immediately and without the chance of a loan return. He had scored 16 goals this season.
Here are three deals that Sunderland fans could see their club pull off before Thursday’s 11pm deadline:
Lewis Morgan
Celtic winger Morgan is expected to complete a move to the Stadium of Light in the coming hours, on loan until the end of the season. It is believed manager Ross has played an important part in the deal.
Indeed, Ross managed Morgan during his spell at St. Mirren before joining Celtic. Now the two are expected to reunite on Wearside – according to the Northern Echo.

Will Grigg
The Northern Echo also report that Sunderland are ‘confident’ they can land the Wigan Athletic striker, despite having four offers for the Northern Ireland international rejected.
Grigg, 27, has excellent pedigree in League One, having helped Wigan gain promotion last season. He has scored 96 goals in 260 third-tier outings, as well as boasting 13 Northern Ireland caps.

Tom Eaves
Sky Sports claim Sunderland are also keen on making late moves for Gillingham striker Eaves, as well as Doncaster front man John Marquis. Eaves could be more likely, though, with his contract expiring in the summer.
The 27-year-old has been in excellent form for the Gills this season, scoring 14 goals in 25 League One appearances. He could be the man to add firepower to the likes of Charlie Wyke, Jerome Sinclair and Duncan Watmore.
