Hailed as one the world’s most wanted stars, Lucas Piazon knows what the loan system at Chelsea is like, but who could take a gamble on him permanently?

The Brazilian is currently on his fifth loan spell in five seasons with Chelsea’s near neighbours Fulham after previous spells at Malaga, Vitesse Arnhem, Eintracht Frankfurt and Reading.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, he criticised the loan system saying It makes no sense to go on loan all the time. ‘It is not good for any player in my experience — or the experience of the other boys,” he said. “I don’t see it as a positive thing any more. To be in a different place every year is not good for me at 22.”

Piazon has only featured for Chelsea four times, and scored four goals in 27 appearances on loan in the Championship with Reading last term.

But where will Piazon find a permanent home? We outline three possibilities:

Fulham
A transfer deadline day signing to neighbours Fulham could be the right move for the Brazilian after years of travelling to Holland, Spain, Germany and a short trip to Reading.

Being situated in London could be what a key element – he’s said to love life in London with fellow Chelsea Brazilians Diego Costa, David Luiz, Oscar, Willian and Kennedy.

Slavisa Jokanovic seems to be building a side looking to be within at least the top 10, albeit a promotion charge will be difficult given the size of the current squad compared to their challengers, but Piazon could become a huge part if he is given a fair run of games.

QPR
Similar to Fulham, Queens Park Rangers could be another club where Piazon could find call a club home, only four miles away from Chelsea it will enable Piazon to stay in London without having to have a huge change of lifestyle.

After years of splashing ridiculous money in the hope of getting themselves into the Premier League and sustaining themselves as a Premier League club, it seems as though QPR owner Tony Fernandes has finally realised that it takes time and patience to build a team ready to compete in the top flight.

QPR manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is building a not only a team but a club and a player of Piazon’s calibre would be welcomed to help them return to the Premier League once more.

Brighton
A club certainly on the way up under Chris Hughton, the Seagulls have come close to returning to the top flight for the first time in over 20 years, and you wonder whether it’s a matter of when not if under the former Newcastle United manager.

With Anthony Knockaert and Jiri Skalak they have two genuine threats on either flank however they could do with some competition and also some added firepower.

Whether Brighton gain promotion or not this season, Hughton shouldn’t be shy in attempting to land this player on the South-Coast.
