Sunderland manager Chris Coleman is chasing ‘a couple of Chelsea academy youngsters’ according to the Northern Echo.
But which ones could the Welshman have his eye on? HITC Sport has identified three potential targets for the Mackems…

Kasey Palmer – Palmer recently returned to Chelsea from a second loan spell at Huddersfield Town – one which was somewhat less productive than the first. The attacking midfielder would breathe fresh life into Sunderland’s attack, but would it be a step backwards for the 21-year-old?

Kyle Scott – Sunderland’s central midfield options are severely depleted, making Scott a logical target. The 19-year-old is said to be on the radar of both Leicester City and Huddersfield Town after talks about a new Chelsea contract stalled over playing time guarantees which Sunderland could almost certainly offer.

Ethan Ampadu – A central midfielder who was handed his Wales debut by Coleman, it would be some surprise if Ampadu wasn’t on Sunderland’s shortlist this winter. The 17-year-old has been around Chelsea’s first team of late, but Ross Barkley’s arrival could see him demoted for the time being.
How about also… Dujon Sterling; Jake Clarke-Salter or Callum Hudson-Odoi?
