The prospective Hull City boss is big friends with the Chelsea owner.
Former CSKA Moscow coach Leonid Slutsky
Former Russia boss Leonid Slutsky is set to take over at Hull City, according to reports.
The 46-year-old is close friends with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, who the BBC claims is helping Slutsky to land a role in English football.
Could the pair’s relationship therefore see out-of-favour Blues stars flock to the KCOM Stadium this coming campaign? If so, here are three possible Tigers recruits.
Michael Hector

Signed from Reading two summers ago, Hector is yet to make a single competitive appearance for Chelsea, spending time with both the Royals and German side Eintracht Frankfurt since then. The Blues are said to want another centre-half this summer, which won’t improve the Jamaican’s chances. And Hull, who are expected to lose Harry Maguire to a Premier League club, should have a void to fill in his position.
Lewis Baker

Fresh from a second and productive spell at Vitesse Arnhem -for whom he scored 15 goals throughout 2016-17 – Baker admitted last week that he now intends to make an impact in English football, preferably with Chelsea. The Blues have an abundance of central midfielders, however, so a loan move could be his best shot at achieving that. Hull have already lost Alfred N’Diaye while Sam Clucas is being linked with a move away – suggesting a new midfield player could be on the Tigers’ agenda.
Charly Musonda

Another recently exiled Blue, Musonda struggled to make an impression at Real Betis this past season and perhaps needs to take a step back to progress. Hull could therefore be ideal for the tricky winger, with Lazar Markovic returned to Liverpool and Kamil Grosicki tipped to move on.
