Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic has struggled for regular games this season.
The Serbian is behind Dwight Gayle and Joselu in the pecking order, and has played just 30 minutes of Premier League football so far this season.
There was interest in him from Championship clubs in the summer, and there will be no shortage of admirers for his signature during the mid-season window as well.
Here are three clubs who should make a move for Mitrovic in January:

Leeds United
After a brilliant start to the season, Leeds seem to have lost their way a bit. They have won just once in their last eight games.
Thomas Christiansen would need a striker in January, and Mitrovic with his Premier League experience would be a good fit.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are top of the Championship table at the moment. Diogo Jota has been in terrific form, but signing a striker should still be Nuno’s first priority.

Aston Villa
Steve Bruce has quality strikers at his disposal, but he could be powerless to prevent players like Jonathan Kodjia or Keinan Davis from leaving if good offers come their way.
Even if they don’t sell either of them, they can still add a quality striker like Mitrovic who would bolster their promotion chances.
