Peacock-Farrell doesn’t want to be Leeds United’s second choice, while Barnsley, Millwall and Birmingham City could all be in the market for goalkeeping reinforcements.

Bailey Peacock-Farrell has expressed his intention to leave Leeds United if he is not the Whites’ first-choice goalkeeper next season.

Peacock-Farrell began last season as Leeds’ number one, but lost his place to Kiko Casilla, the club’s January signing from Real Madrid.

And the Northern Ireland international told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “If I stay at Leeds I’ll be staying at Leeds to play.

“The two scenarios would probably be I’m staying at Leeds and I’m playing or I’ll have to be elsewhere I think.”

But where might Peacock-Farrell end up if he is to move on this summer? Here are three potential Championship destinations…

Barnsley

Barnsley are expected to lose their first-choice, Adam Davies, to Stoke City this summer and a move to Oakwell could appeal to Peacock-Farrell, given the club’s proximity to Leeds. The Barnsley boss, Daniel Stendel, likes to play out from the back – something Peacock-Farrell has shown that he is capable of doing.

Millwall

Having already seen two of their senior goalkeeper depart at the end of last season, Millwall have now lost a third in David Martin, who signed for West Ham United at the start of this week. Peacock-Farrell could feasibly walk into The Den as number one.

Birmingham City

Peacock-Farrell spent a year working under the Birmingham boss, Garry Monk, at Leeds. And although Monk neglected to use him that campaign, the presence of Robert Green, not to mention the fact Peacock-Farrell was barely out of his teens for most of it, might offer a valid explanation as to why. Monk and his staff should know all about the 22-year-old’s ability, and may consider him as they try to replace Tomasz Kuszczak as competition for Lee Camp, the current first-choice at Birmingham.
