Everton star Idrissa Gueye is a reported summer transfer target for Arsenal.
Everton’s Idrissa Gueye scores their first goal
The Gunners are contemplating a summer move for Toffees midfield warrior Idrissa Gueye, according to the Sun.
And whilst Ronald Koeman would surely meet any kind of approach for the Senegal international with fierce resistance, but the Dutchman might just be able to use Arsenal’s interest to his advantage.
Here are three Gunners stars who Everton could demand, if they decide to part ways with their 27-year-old midfielder in the summer:
Gabriel:
The 26-year-old Brazilian has struggled for regular first-team action since his move to Arsenal in January 2015.
He still has a lot to offer at the highest level, however, and at 26 years of age, he would inject a much needed level of youth into the Toffees backline.
Koeman must surely be looking to freshen up his defensive options, what with Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams set to turn 35 and 33 repetitively in August.

Francis Coquelin:
Whilst the Frenchman has hit critics, he is an extremely useful member of the Gunners’ squad, and his high energy levels, along with his tenacious playing style would enable him to fill the vid left behind by Gueye.
He snaps into tackles, and has an impressive engine.
The only question mark hanging over his head is whether he has the passing ability required for a Ronald Koeman side.

Lucas Perez:
Everton wanted the Spaniard in the summer of 2016, before Arsenal eventually won the race to sign him.
He has struggled for first-team chances at the Emirates, however, and would be an ideal addition to Koeman’s side.
The 28-year-old would be the perfect foil to Romelu Lukaku, and with his exceptional finishing ability, he could help turn the Toffees into genuine contenders for a place inside the champions League spots.
