Everton are reportedly interested in a move for the Sevilla midfielder.

Last week saw Everton linked with a January transfer move for Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi by the Mirror.
According to the newspaper, Director of Football Steve Walsh has instructed the club’s scouts to keep an eye on him in the coming months.
They report that he could cost as much as £20 million but shareholder Farhad Moshiri is willing to bankroll such a purchase after a disappointing summer transfer window.

It is likely they are targeting the midfielder as a long-term replacement for Gareth Barry, who despite his impressive performances is not getting any younger.
While N’Zonzi would be a wise capture given his Premier League experience and the fact he would add some much-needed physicality to the Blues midfield, there are other players they should look at also.

William Carvalho – One of the key men in Portugal’s Euro 2016 success, the 24-year-old is highly rated and has been linked with big clubs in the past. His current club Sporting Lisbon want a big fee but it would be money well spent.
Morgan Schneiderlin – Forgotten at Manchester United, the Frenchman could reinvigorate himself at Goodison Park. He enjoyed success under Ronald Koeman at Southampton and would likely be available for around that £20 million mark.
Etienne Capoue – The midfielder has been reinvigorated at Watford and has started this season on fire under Walter Mazzarri. The Hornets would not sell cheaply but he could be a smart capture, just like Idrissa Gueye has proved to be.
