Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths has has taken a dig at Rangers for taking their eye off the ball.
The one-sided Old Firm derby finished 4-0 with Celtic making light work of their opponents.
Griffiths has criticised Rangers boss Graeme Murty for focusing on the bigger picture and whether his side were catching Celtic, instead of the actual game.
He told The Scotsman: “I don’t see how they can be happy after that. They’ll need to go back to the drawing board to find out where they’ve gone wrong.
“From start to finish, we dominated the game in every aspect. Their manager might have said before the tie that the gap between us was closing but those are his words. In our changing room, we just focus on the job in hand.”
It’s easier for Celtic in the run up to the game to be more relaxed as they have not lost to Rangers since the Light Blues were promoted to the top flight two years ago.
Rangers’ last win was a penalty shootout victory in the Scottish Cup two years ago.
The 4-0 win for Celtic this time around shows the gap is bigger than ever, and manager Graeme Murty will be looking over his shoulder.
There is one league game left against Celtic this season for Rangers to make amends.
Unfortunately the fall out from this loss and question marks over Murty’s future will make it harder than ever for him to focus on the task at hand.
