What would Thorgan Hazard and Abdoulaye Doucoure do to Everton as a team?

We’re only a month away from the January transfer window and it looks like it might be an exciting time for Everton fans, if speculation is anything to go by.
According to The Mirror, Everton boss Marco Silva is plotting a raid on former club Watford for Abdoulaye Doucoure, while Calciomercato suggested last week that Thorgan Hazard – brother of Eden – would fancy a move to Merseyside.
The Toffees are already a fantastic team and one that isn’t far away from top-four contention, but a double deal of that calibre would take them to the next level.
Hypothetically, Silva could boast a midfield-three of Doucoure, Idrissa Gueye and Andre Gomes, with Gylfi Sigurdsson and Hazard playing either side of Richarlison up top.
Not many Premier League sides have a better six players in midfield and attack than that.

Hazard has been a revelation for Borussia Monchengladbach in Germany this season, netting 11 goals and setting up five across 14 games in all competition, while a physical and technical specimen of Doucoure’s ilk could be the perfect link between defence and attack.
Both deals might not happen – in fact they probably won’t – but that shouldn’t stop Everton fans from dreaming over what could be possible.
Silva has the bones of a brilliant side and by supplementing that with a bit more quality, the Merseysiders could come good – very, very good.
