Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers will face Heart of Midlothian at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership this weekend.

Rangers will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Hearts at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon.
The Gers will head into the match against Hearts on the back of a 4-0 defeat to Old Firm rivals Celtic at Hampden Park in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup.
Former Rangers striker Thompson, who was on the books of the Ibrox club from 2003 until 2006, has suggested that Gers manager Murty should drop 21-year-old striker Morelos – who has been on the books of Gers since the summer of 2017 when he joined from HJK Helsinki for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £1.5 million – and 30-year-old winger Candeias for the match this Sunday afternoon.

Thompson wrote in The Herald: “The question now is where do Rangers go from here? Well, first up is Hearts on Sunday, and it will be interesting to see who they can even play in the team.
“Can you play Alfredo Morelos? Or Daniel Candeias after his cowardly huff up the tunnel at the weekend, which has gone under the radar slightly? I wouldn’t.”

Winning important
Rangers’ recent form has not been great, and there is a danger that they could miss out on the runners-up spot in the Scottish Premiership table this season.
The Gers need to win against Hearts to enhance their chances of finishing second in the league this season.
