The midfielder has been highly impressive for Liverpool this season.

Liverpool legend Phil Thompson has told Sky Sports that Jordan Henderson has been nothing short of sensational this season.
The Reds captain has been in excellent form as they have started the season strongly.
He also put in an impressive display for England during the international break with a stellar performance in the win over Malta.

His impressive display then earned him the captain’s armband when Wayne Rooney was dropped for the draw with Slovenia.
His performances have not gone unnoticed, with fans and pundits alike praising him so far this season, and now Thompson has added his voice to the mix, saying he has been nothing short of sensational.
“I think he’s been absolutely terrific,” he told Sky Sports.
“You can see the reasons why he was picked for England, if anybody was right it was Jordan. He’s been nothing short of sensational.”

A look at the stats certainly shows that Henderson has been in superb form for Liverpool this season.
So far he has registered the most touches of any Reds star as well as posting more accurate passes and forward passes than any other of their players.
Defensively he has also shone, winning the most tackles of any Liverpool man at this stage of the campaign.
Those kind of numbers are impressive to say the least, and supporters will be hoping he is in fine form once again when they take on Manchester United on Monday evening.
