BBC Sportscene pundits Michael Stewart and Steven Thompson have both predicted comfortable wins for Celtic on Wednesday night when Brendan Rodgers’ side go up against Hamilton.

The Hoops play host to Martin Canning’s side, who will be in buoyant mood after lifting the November Manager of the Month award following strong draws against Aberdeen and Hibernian as well as beating Rangers last month.

However, they lost to St. Johnstone last time out and Celtic will be more than confident of stretching their unbeaten run to 69 games, despite winning just two of their last six games in all competitions.

Rodgers has seen his side suffer defeat to Anderlecht and draw against Hibernian in the Bhoys’ last two games, but former Scottish Premiership stars Thompson and Stewart believe the Hoops will get back to winning ways.

Former Rangers striker Thompson told Sportscene’s Facebook Live Channel that Celtic would win “5-0”, while ex-Hibernian and Hearts midfielder Stewart said Rodgers side would ease to a “3-1” victory.

Wednesday night could be crucial come the end of the season in terms of the Scottish Premiership table, with Celtic still arguably in touching distance for the Gers as they sit five points behind their Old Firm rivals.

However, with Rangers facing a tricky away trip to Easter Road to face Neil Lennon’s men, Celtic could increase their lead at the top of the table with a convincing victory over the Accies.
