Arsenal have not yet unveiled Thomas Partey.

The Gunners confirmed on Monday, which was transfer deadline day, that they had signed the Ghana international.

Partey has joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in a £45 million deal.

But apart from posting pictures of an Arsenal shirt with his name on the back, Partey hasn’t been photographed in the shirt just yet.

The 27-year-old had also failed to address his move to North London on any of his social media platforms.

But due to popular demand, Arsenal released a message from their new midfielder on Twitter yesterday.

He said: “Hello Gunners. Thanks so much for the love, for the messages I’ve received. I can’t wait to be part of you guys. I can’t wait to join the team. It’s a great feeling to be part of a family like this and thanks so much for the love. I feel so grateful. I feel so amazed. And don’t forget – No Thomas, no Partey.”

Here’s how Arsenal fans responded to Partey’s message:

Mikel Arteta’s side are away to Manchester City after the international break.

Since the Spaniard has taken charge of Arsenal, the capital club have a pretty good record against the former Premier League champions, who won the title in 2018 and 2019.

Arteta masterminded an FA Cup semi-final win over former mentor Pep Guardiola during the summer when the season resumed and, if Partey is available for his debut, it’ll be interesting to see if they could win at Eastlands this time.
