Everton won against Manchester City in the Premier League at the weekend.

John Stones left Everton for Premier League rivals Manchester City in the summer of 2016. According to a report on BBC Sport at the time, the Citizens had to a pay a transfer fee of £47.5 million in order to secure the services of Stones.

Stones is a promising and talented young defender, but the 22-year-old is not having a great time at City.

Although the centre-back has had some good games and has looked good on the ball, overall the performances of the youngster have left much to be desired.

The former Barnsley defender featured against his former club Everton at the weekend when City came to Goodison Park.

The centre-back started the Premier League game on Sunday afternoon and played for the entire 90 minutes. Stones did not have a good match, as Pep Guardiola’s side were hammered 4-0 by Everton.

Former Everton goalkeeper Thomas Myhre was following the match, and he mocked the defender on Twitter, asking what the score was.
